Description
During this tour we will visit the painted churches in the communities of Dubina, High Hill, Praha and Ammannsville. They appear unassuming as you approach them, but as you enter the front doors, prepare to have your breath taken away by the incredible beauty found inside. A local step-on guide will take us through the churches and will also point out unusual, interesting and historical sites of the area as we travel through the countryside. In the middle of the tour we will stop for a buffet lunch at Oakridge Smokehouse in Schulenburg. These churches have some of most beautiful painted artwork and stained glass windows you will ever see. All churches are handicapped accessible. Bring your camera, as pictures are allowed inside the churches. Cost includes motor coach transportation, lunch, tour guide fee, admission fee and tips.
