Dr. Sally Ride studied at Stanford University and beat out one thousand other applicants for a spot in NASA’s astronaut program. Through rigorous training, she became the first American woman in space. In this class, we will discuss her journey to space as well as her career after NASA, where she started her own organization to inspire young girls to pursue their interests in math and science.
