Joshua was the unsung hero in the story of Exodus. He was always there at Moses’s side as his guardian and friend and continued his work even after the great man died. He was God’s soldier, a bit of the Archangel Michael on Earth, for his time. God even favored him with a few miracles to help him move the expansion of the Hebrew nation along.
