From the silent movies of Greta Garbo and Rudolph Valentino to later films featuring Ingrid Bergman, Peter Lorre, Dolores Del Rio, Maurice Chevalier and others, stars from afar made their mark on Hollywood. Directors such as Billy Wilder, Alfred Hitchcock and George Cukor must be included in this conversation too. What was their influence on American films? Film clips and interviews will be featured.
