Description
The class explores the formative influences on Lennon, McCartney and Harrison, examining British music hall performers of the 40s, skiffle and postwar songs. Special focus will be given to vocal harmony models such as the Everly Brothers, the Ink Spots and the Mills Brothers. We’ll also look at how studio experimentation of the Beach Boys inspired the group’s later sound.
