Description
Helping a loved one manage their chronic illness– such as dementia, cancer, or depression–can bring on feelings of uncertainty. What do you do after a diagnosis? What is going to happen? Will my loved one get better? When we feel uncertain, we often feel worried or anxious, and may not take good care of ourselves. In this session, Kylie Meyer, PhD, from UT Health San Antonio’s School of Nursing’s Caring for the Caregiver program will identify sources of uncertainty while caregiving and identify strategies to manage uncertainty and reduce feelings of worry.
