The Glad Hatters Jazz Band will play some of their favorite hymns, spirituals and gospel songs, including “Just a Closer Walk with Thee,” “Amazing Grace,” and “His Eye is On the Sparrow.” We’ll explore the characteristics of this music and hear iconic musicians, such as Louis Armstrong, Pete Fountain, and Mahalia Jackson, and their unique styles.
