Come explore Shiner, Texas, a small town rich in Czech and German heritage, agriculture, and railroad history—and home to the famous Spoetzl Brewery. Our day begins at the Edwin Wolters Memorial Museum. Step back in time as you enter the museum, where you’ll find exhibits on Shiner’s early settlers, including many interesting antiques. We’ll enjoy lunch at Mary’s Tex-Mex Restaurant before visiting the historic Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is known for its stunning stained glass, imported from Munich. The day concludes with a guided brewery tour and beer tasting at the Spoetzl Brewery, the oldest independent brewery in Texas.
