Description
50 years ago the State Department, FBI, CIA, and military leaders held a round table conference wherein these agencies split the English Language into five levels—from level 1: basic/survival language (using words) to level 2: everyday/common usage—high-frequency words (using sentences) to levels 3,4,5: abstract/conceptual language—low-frequency words (using paragraphs/ organized discourse). Discussion will focus on enhancing speaking, writing, and thinking skills through the acquisition of a more plentiful vocabulary—using synonyms to avoid repetition and more accurate/precise descriptive word.
